Relationship Banker – Deerfield Branch, Deerfield, IL Position Summary
The Relationship Banker role combines teller duties with relationship building, delivering personalized service, conducting transactions, cross‑selling products, and handling complex banking tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities Customer Service & Relationship Building- Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional service to build lasting relationships.
- Identify customer needs and offer solutions through the bank’s products and services.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through personalized service and proactive outreach, assisting with both routine and complex banking needs.
- Resolve customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive experience.
- Promote and cross‑sell bank products.
- Assist customers in understanding various product offerings and provide tailored financial advice, referring customers to other lines of business as appropriate.
- Open and manage a variety of accounts.
- Assist with account maintenance tasks, such as updating account information, processing stop payments, and handling transfers.
- Provide assistance with and support for online banking services and digital banking tools.
- Refer clients with credit needs to the appropriate banker or line of business.
- Process transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Balance cash drawer and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure accuracy and security of transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Monitor for potential fraud or suspicious activity, following bank procedures to address issues.
- Assist with branch operations and administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, organizing records, and maintaining operational reports.
- Support branch leadership with daily operations, including opening and closing procedures and ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Strong sales and customer service skills

- Stand for extended periods of time

- Requires a High School diploma.
- Requires previous banking and/or sales experience.
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- For relationship bankers who lend, maintain current registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and attain active registration upon hiring. Failure to maintain active registration may result in disciplinary action, including termination.
Salary offered is based on factors including job duties, required qualifications, relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
Base Pay Range: $18-$21/hour
