Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant (MA/PSA) - Medical Group Sports Medicine

Hourly Pay Range $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's and years of experience, among other factors.

    Glenview, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time:
    Full Time (40 hours per week)
  • Hours:

    Monday
    - Friday between 7:00AM and 7:00PM, with 1-2 Saturdays a quarter between 8:00AM-4:00PM
  • Required Travel:
    Travel to other sites based upon physician and department needs
What You Will Do
  • Answer phones
  • Schedule appointments
  • Collect co-payments
  • Complete patient registration
  • Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
  • Check in and check out patient
  • Verify insurances
  • Greet patients and escort them to exam room
  • Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
  • Provide front office support as needed
  • Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
  • Phlebotomy and injections may be required
What You Will Need
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
  • Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required;
    Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience:

    One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
