Certified Nursing Assistant; CNA

This is a job opening for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Citadel of Glenview. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities and basic medical care under the supervision of a nurse, including bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, medication assistance, and monitoring vital signs.

$18.00/yr - $29.93/yr

• Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or CNA Supervisor, work closely with the nursing staff to coordinate patient care.
• Provide physical support for patients/residents with daily activities and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring to/from beds, toileting, walking, standing, and exercising.
• Assist patients with medication and supplements.
• Ensure proper diet based on residents’ restrictions.
• Examine patients for wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
• Note and communicate changes in resident mood or behavior.
• Clean rooms and bed linens.
• Record vital signs—blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration—under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Respond promptly to patient calls and needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Good collaboration and teamwork skills with nursing staff.
• Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for various medical conditions.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn company applications.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant License/Certification.
• CPR Certification required.

• Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing/pulling, and ability to distinguish smells/temperatures, with or without mechanical devices.
• Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet, and carry that weight a minimum of 50 feet.
• May be required to assist in resident evacuation during emergencies.
• Meet all health requirements as needed.
