American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 3+ years of CVICU experience and an active IL RN license.

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at a cardiovascular-focused campus
• 12-hour night shift schedule
• Required to work every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• May float to Glenbrook MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU as needed
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active IL RN license required
• Current certifications: CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 3 years of CVICU experience required
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or above
• Charge experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in interpretation/management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure
• Experience with CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, and Post Cardiac Surgery care
• Experience with Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention and Valve Replacement/Repair
• Experience with LVAD/RVAD and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Experience with CVVHD/CRRT and IV therapy including arterial line and central line management
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and administering continuous IV sedation/paralytics
• Experience with CVA/Acute Stroke Management and lumbar drains
• Experience managing ventilated patients, BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• Skilled in ABG interpretation, ETT/NT suctioning, and ventilator management
• Experience with infection prevention, isolation precautions, and PPE use
• Experience with phlebotomy and surgical wound care including drains/wound vac
• Updated resume, CVICU skills checklist, and supervisor reference within the last year required for consideration
• Verification of IL license required for consideration

• Provide comprehensive critical care to cardiovascular ICU patients
• Thermoregulation management is part of daily responsibilities
