Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR position requiring 3+ years of CVOR circulating experience and prior travel nursing experience.

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross only)
• ACLS not required
• 3+ years of CVOR circulating experience as a staff nurse
• Endovascular or cardiac open heart experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• 2 professional references required, with 1 reference mandatory from most recent travel assignment
• Date of birth required for consideration

• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekend coverage as needed
• Floating as needed, with preference for floating to Main OR and scrubbing CVOR
• On-call requirement of 3-4 shifts per month with a 2-hour minimum call back and 30-minute response time
• 8-week contract length
• Circulate cardiovascular surgical cases within the CVOR
• Must complete a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• On-site EKG test required on Day 1 of orientation on a pass/fail basis; failure results in contract termination
• A study book will be provided in advance of the Day 1 EKG test
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from employment for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO for 8-week contracts limited to a maximum of 3 days
• Must work at least 1-2 holidays during the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Must reside within a 50-mile local radius
• On-site interview with the facility required, approximately 10-15 minutes
