American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse
- Telemetry for a night shift contract requiring EKG proficiency and 2+ years of experience.

• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for boarded patients in the ED (not treating ED patients) with floating to other MS units as needed
• 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Every-other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; 4+ years preferred
• New graduates will not be considered
• EKG test score of 80% or higher required prior to consideration
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Two current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge within the relevant unit area, within the last year; at least one travel reference preferred

• Care for boarded patients within the ED setting and float to other Medical-Surgical units when not needed in the ED
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from the facility for 12 months before being submitted as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 3 days permitted for this 8-week contract
• A brief interview (10-15 minutes) with the facility is required prior to starting
