JOB SUMMARY

The Sunnyside
* Shop (Glenview, IL) is a new retail concept created to support shoppers at every stage of their wellness journey. Designed as a boutique wellness experience, the shop will offer a curated assortment of wellness & lifestyle products. This concept aims to present a more normalized, elevated, and professional approach to wellness retail.

The Store Manager will lead all aspects of store operations for this retail pilot. This role oversees daily operations, sales performance, customer acquisition & experience, team leadership, marketing and community outreach, inventory strategy, and overall store administration. It is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, educating and connecting with customers, and who brings strong experience in retail and a passion for modern‑day wellness.

  • You have a passion for wellness. You’re up to date on modern‑age wellness hacks and are constantly exploring the latest trends in health, recovery, mindfulness and performance optimization.
  • You stay informed through podcasts, wellness influencers, scientific research, and emerging product innovations. You’re the friend who’s always testing new supplements, tracking sleep and stress with wearable tech, swapping in adaptogens for afternoon energy, or experimenting with breathwork, cold plunges, or infrared therapy.

CORE JOB DUTIES

Store Operations

  • Develop and implement store policies that reflect our core values and support operational effectiveness.
  • Manage daily store operations, ensuring efficient and consistent execution of opening and closing procedures.
  • Plan & adhere to visual merchandising guidelines including planograms, seasonal displays and focus products.
  • Plan & maintain store cleanliness, organization, and appealing visual merchandising.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate reorders. Proactively suggest products or categories to round out the assortment, and re‑order inventory at set re‑order points according to budgets and category/product mix targets.
  • Support drafting & updating of all standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with health, safety, regulatory and store policies.
