Starting hourly rate: $17.25 USD per hour. Pay range: $17.25 USD - $25.90 USD per hour.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns

• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

As a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
• Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
• Work to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain how to use Target App features including Wallet
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; guide guests on enrollment and usage
• Handle returns following store policies and escalate to leaders as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; manage stock during store hours
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work safely; comply with safety policies and report hazards
• Support guest services such as order pickup, Drive-Up, and related duties in compliance with laws including alcohol policies
• All other duties based on business needs

Necessary skills and early training expectations:
Communication, positive attitude, attention to detail, willingness to educate guests about products and services, ability to use handheld scanners and technology, ability to work independently and in a team, and ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment

• Strong checkout operations, cash handling and ability to support cash office operations
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally; maintain mobility during shift
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
