Reports to: Glenwood Springs High School Principal
Classification: Certified Exempt - Full-Time (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week)
Contract Period: 185 working days.

Salary Range

  • $54,000 to $83,500 (Based on education and years of relevant teaching experience) The annual salary listed above is based on a full-time, 8-hour workday (FTE 1.0) and a full working calendar. For positions with less than a full FTE or reduced hours, such as part-time or late-start positions, the salary will be prorated accordingly. Certified Salary Schedule

Position Overview

This is a well-established, high-energy program with ambitious students and a strong tradition. Our musicians range from beginners taking their first steps to highly accomplished performers pursuing Honor Band and All-State opportunities. They are serious about their craft and eager for a mentor, role model, and joyful, demanding musician who will take them to the next level.

The Program

Current offerings include:

  • Wind Ensemble
  • Symphonic Band
  • Percussion Ensemble
  • Beginning Band
  • After-school drumline (with dedicated coach)

Enrollment and interest are growing each semester. Storage rooms are full of instruments and equipment; the next director will inherit a well-resourced program ready to develop further.
