We’re looking for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Glenwood Springs, CO. The right Peds‑RRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Peds‑RRT, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

As a Peds‑RRT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Peds‑RRTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. They must be able to lift 20 pounds easily, and may need to lift up to 50 pounds s‑RRTs must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, RRT, 2 Years

* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Total Med Allied Job . Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
