Position: Travel Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist Job

Job Overview

As a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist, you’re invited to bring expert care, leadership, and compassion to a pivotal role in Colorado’s breathtaking Glenwood Springs. This opportunity places you at the heart of transformative patient care, where your clinical skillset and patient‑centric approach will elevate outcomes, inspire teammates, and shape the standard of respiratory therapy across high‑acuity settings. You’ll work hands‑on with assessment, monitoring, and optimization of respiratory therapies, drawing on your specialized RRT training to guide ventilator management, weaning strategies, airway clearance, and chest physiotherapy.

Your impact will extend beyond bedside procedures—educating patients and families, collaborating with physicians and nurses, and contributing to evidence‑based plans that empower recovery, independence, and dignity for those facing acute and chronic respiratory challenges. Embrace a role that honors your expertise, widens your professional horizon, and positions you to influence care pathways in meaningful, lasting ways.

Location and Lifestyle

Colorado’s Glenwood Springs offers more than a compelling work environment—it's a place to recharge and reconnect with nature after demanding shifts. The area’s striking Rocky Mountain scenery, abundant hot springs, and outdoor recreation opportunities provide an inspiring backdrop for sustaining resilience and well‑being. While you deliver exceptional care, you’ll also have access to trails along the Colorado River, nearby hot springs for restorative downtime, and superb dining and cultural experiences in a welcoming mountain town.

If you crave variety, there’s the potential to extend your assignment to other locations across the United States, enabling you to explore new hospitals, patient populations, and clinical teams while advancing your competencies in respiratory therapies across diverse settings.

Location benefits begin with Glenwood Springs, a gateway to Colorado’s natural wonders, but the role also offers exposure to multiple U.S. locations, broadening your professional perspective. You’ll support patients across a range of hospital environments—academic centers, community hospitals, and regional facilities—developing adaptability, cross‑team collaboration, and leadership capacity that position you for future growth. Expect a structured, supportive framework that respects your time and talents, with scheduling designed to optimize continuity of care and patient outcomes.

The opportunity comes with a robust package that recognizes your expertise and commitment, including a welcome bonus, comprehensive housing assistance, and the potential for contract extensions that align with your professional goals and personal needs.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform patient evaluations and initiate and adjust therapies such as CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen delivery, aerosolized medications, and advanced ventilator support.
  • Monitor respiratory status, arterial blood gases, and trend analysis to inform clinical decisions.
  • Participate in rounds and care conferences to align treatment with evolving patient goals.
  • Provide education on inhaled therapies, airway clearance techniques, and device use.
  • Participate in weaning from mechanical ventilation, post‑extubation support, and optimizing airway clearance for conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, trauma, and post‑surgical recovery.
  • Emphasize continuous professional development through hands‑on practice, mentorship, and opportunities to specialize in critical care, pediatrics, or neonatal respiratory support as your interests evolve.
Compensation & Benefits

The compensation and benefits package reflects a competitive, traveler‑friendly approach. You’ll receive weekly pay within the stated range of $2,062–$2,220, with guaranteed hours of 24 per week, and a start date of 03/17/2026. In addition to competitive wages, you can expect a signing bonus, housing assistance to ease relocation, and the option to extend the assignment if you wish to deepen your experience with a familiar clinical team.

The arrangement emphasizes stability and flexibility, supporting your needs as you…
