Job Summary:

The RN Critical Care (CCU) is responsible for providing high‑quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Critical Care Unit (CCU). They must have a strong understanding of advanced medical procedures, medications, and technologies to monitor and treat patients in critical condition. The RN Critical Care (CCU) plays a crucial role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast‑paced and high‑stress environment.

Responsibilities

and Duties
  • Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall health status
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate intervention
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Follow hospital protocols and standards of care
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • Qualifications and Skills
    • Valid RN license
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
    • Previous experience in a critical care setting
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure
    • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
    • Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends
    • Physical stamina and endurance
    • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
    • Empathy and compassion for patients and their families
