Travel RN - Operating Room

Overview

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a circulate/scrub role at a Level III trauma center in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 3 years of OR experience and rotating call shifts.

• Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in good standing
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• Proof of flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• DOB or SSN required for consideration

• Main OR setting within a Level III trauma center featuring 4 state-of-the-art surgical suites (with a 5th currently under construction)
• Surgical specialties include General, Orthopedics, Brain/Spine, Neuro, OB-GYN, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Peds, Eyes, and Ortho/Spine Trauma
• Robotic surgery platforms in use include Exactech, Mako, Stealth, and Da Vinci
• Role encompasses both circulating and scrub responsibilities during the intraoperative phase
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week with rotating evening, night, and weekend call
• Typical call assignment per 8-week scheduling period includes 1 call weekend (Friday 1900–Monday 0700) and 4–5 weeknight call shifts (1900–0700)
• Provides nursing care to patients during the intraoperative phase of the perioperative process
• CAPS (Colorado Applicant Background Services) clearance is required and may take up to two weeks to obtain — candidates should begin this process as early as possible
• Facility-owned, fully furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments are available approximately half a block from the hospital for travelers to rent directly during their assignment, subject to availability
