Overview

Registered Nurse – Radiation Oncology, travel temporary assignment, Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

Start date:

09/22/2026 for a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 10-hour shift (four 10-hour weekdays). Weekly pay ranges from $2,910 to $2,982. This role supports oncology patient care within an outpatient treatment setting, collaborating closely with a Radiation Oncology team to maintain continuity and quality care for patients undergoing disease treatment, during therapy, and in follow-up.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care for individuals receiving radiation therapy, including assessment, monitoring, and timely interventions for treatment-related needs.
  • Collaborate with the Radiation Oncology team to develop and adjust care plans, ensuring alignment with disease process, treatment course, and follow-up requirements.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families to support coping, treatment adherence, and informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate referrals to ancillary resources (nutrition, rehabilitation, home care, hospice) and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Serve as a liaison between Radiation Oncology and other departments, services, and external practices to facilitate seamless continuity of care.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in a timely manner, while adhering to evidence-based oncology practices and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Active Colorado RN license in good standing
  • BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
  • Minimum 2 years of RN Radiation Oncology experience (not Oncology RN experience)
  • Education:

    RN from an accredited program;
    Colorado licensure in good standing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient care environment and coordinate oncology patient care with a multidisciplinary team
