Job title:

Agriculture Teacher. Terms of employment: 2026‑2027 School Year.

Work basis: 10 hours daily, Monday‑Thursday (including lunch). Rate of pay:
Teacher Salary Schedule/Fringe Benefits.

Location:

Globe High School.

Reports to:

School Principal.

Primary goal: guide learning toward district/CTE curriculum goals within agriculture.

• Teach agriculture classes (may include science based classes).
• Prepare and evaluate teaching schedule, curriculum and teaching calendars and ensure they meet local and state standards.
• Conduct field trips both in and out of district.
• Secure materials for resale to students (e.g., welding metal, wood, etc.).
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials for all classes.
• Visit students’ SAE projects and assist students in keeping SAE records.
• Assist students in exhibiting livestock, crops and agricultural mechanics projects at fairs and shows.
• Serve as the FFA Advisor.
• Assist students in coordinating FFA activities at the local, area, district, state and national levels.
• Prepare and train FFA and agriculture contest teams.
• Assist students in preparing applications for proficiency awards, state and American Degrees, etc.
• Prepare and track the Agriculture budget.
• Coordinate, maintain inventories, and keep records of the agriculture resale accounts for classroom and shop supplies.
• Complete and file required reports with the Department of Education.

Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of state CTE standards, agriculture programs, the National FFA Organization.

Physical Requirements: Works standing and moving. May require bending, stairs, lifting of up to 50 pounds. Some desk work. Some driving may be required. Valid Arizona Drivers License is required.

Salary Range: Certified Salary Schedule
