Speech Language Pathologist; SLP

Role Overview:

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients based on physician referrals, ensuring compliance with laws and standards.

• Assess, establish, and modify measurable, functional therapy goals
• Follow treatment plans under supervision (for CFY) or independently (for CCC-certified SLP)
• Chart accurately and timely, utilizing therapy software effectively
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan patient care
• Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and adhere to legal and organizational policies
• Assist in emergency procedures like patient evacuation

• Graduate of an accredited speech therapy program (MS or MA)
• ASHA certification (CCC) or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Active licensure in the applicable state, maintained throughout employment
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, email; good communication skills
• Ability to make independent decisions and demonstrate professionalism
• Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with patients, families, and staff
• Good physical stamina to perform job duties
