Description Application & Enrollment Specialist

Join our dedicated team at Canyonlands as an Application & Enrollment Specialist, where you will play a vital role in helping our community access essential health coverage and assistance programs. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate, accurate, and unbiased support to patients and community members seeking affordable healthcare options.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients and community members with eligibility screening, applications, renewals, and documentation for various health coverage programs
  • Provide confidential guidance and education regarding AHCCCS/Medicaid, Marketplace coverage, Canyonlands' Sliding Fee Discount Program, and other assistance programs
  • Serve as a resource for patients to understand their options and navigate complex enrollment processes
  • Collaborate closely with clinic staff, community partners, and state agencies to facilitate enrollment and reduce barriers to access
  • Maintain accurate records of applications and communications, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards
  • Stay informed about updates and changes in healthcare policies and assistance programs to provide current and accurate information
Skills and

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare, social services, or related fields preferred
  • Prior experience in enrollment assistance, social services, or healthcare support is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and compassionately
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and community partners
  • Knowledge of healthcare programs such as AHCCCS/Medicaid, Marketplace, and community assistance programs
  • Proficiency in using computers and relevant software for data entry and record keeping
