Emergency Room Nurse

The Emergency Room Nurse provides care for patients in emergency situations, triaging and assessing their conditions, providing immediate medical treatment, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.

• Triage and assess patients upon arrival to determine urgency of care needed.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Educate patients and their families on their conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to emergency care.
• Assist in implementing emergency response protocols during mass casualty incidents.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families during stressful situations.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in emergency care.

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
• Strong critical thinking and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in high‑pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and equipment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
