Clark Wood, specialists in Public Practice recruitment are working with a regional firm in Gloucester. Due to internal growth, the firm is looking to add an Accounts and Audit Assistant Manager to their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Gloucestershire's most established accountancy practices with a clear platform to progress into Management.
The ideal candidate will have diverse general practice experience, including leading audit assignments for various clients, preparing accounts, and handling tax returns. The role offers a unique balance of general practice work, business advisory projects, accounts preparation, tax, and auditing tasks, positioning you well for future professional development. You will also gain exposure to a diverse client base, including SMEs, OMBs, and some international groups.
Duties & Responsibilities- Advise owner-managed businesses on a range of accounts and business advisory matters
- Lead audit assignments from planning to conclusion, including staff supervision and client management
- Prepare tax computations and Corporation Tax returns (CT600)
- Prepare accounts for companies, groups of companies, partnerships, and LLPs, along with related tax computations
