- Perform receptionist duties including answering and screening telephone calls, relaying messages, responding to the remote access system, handling inquiries, and maintaining sign‑in books.
- Maintain accurate student data and records in all student information systems.
- Perform accurate data entry to various database and software systems (School Brains, Google, Frontline, etc.).
- Coordinate all student dismissals and tardies.
- Maintain student activities fund account.
- Work cooperatively with all school staff.
- Report staff attendance and payroll.
- Manage purchase orders and budget‑related tasks for the school, including distribution of supplies.
- Organize and maintain the office.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Assistant Principal.
- Assist with the distribution of MCAS and report cards.
- Learn and use new applications or software as necessary to maintain records and fulfill job responsibilities.
- Maintain confidentiality and effective working relationships with all school employees, city staff, and city officials.
- Promote a positive attitude.
- Proficient and demonstrated use of Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and other commonly used computer programs and apps (School Brains, Frontline, Munis, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge and proficiency of school information systems and database/spreadsheet programs.
- Awareness of the diverse cultures of Gloucester Public School families and ability to welcome and support all families equally.
- At least three years of progressive related experience in a school or municipal setting.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Effective interpersonal and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently to perform assigned duties.
- Professional and collaborative approach to communication.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, in accordance with the Gloucester Public Schools AFSCME C Salary Schedule range of $26.00 – $29.98 per hour.

Work ScheduleFull‑time position: 40 hours per week, 200 days per year.
