We are supporting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to secure their first teaching role in supportive schools across Gloucester. As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will be placed in welcoming primary or secondary schools where you can develop your practice, build confidence, and complete your induction with experienced mentors supporting you throughout.
What you’ll be doing as an Early Career Teacher (ECT):- Planning and delivering engaging lessons linked to the curriculum
- Managing classroom behaviour consistently and effectively
- Assessing and tracking pupil progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Working closely with mentors and senior staff during your induction
- Developing your teaching practice through feedback and reflection
- Full support throughout your ECT induction period
- Dedicated in‑school mentor
- Regular review meetings and structured development
- Ongoing CPD and training opportunities
- Support in finding the right school placement in Gloucester
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to obtain QTS
- Passion for teaching and pupil progress
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management
- Willingness to learn and develop as an ECT Teacher
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Support in securing your first teaching position in Gloucester
