The 1:1 Paraprofessional assists the classroom teacher in delivering curriculum, managing the classroom, and providing direct support to students. This role involves working primarily with one student individually and in small groups, assisting with instructional activities, reinforcing learned concepts, and helping to maintain a positive and organized learning environment. The paraprofessional supports the social, emotional, and academic growth of all students.

Job Requirements- Responsibilities: Provide classroom and educational support services to students under the supervision of a classroom teacher. Help create and maintain a structured and predictable classroom environment. Assist students with self-regulation strategies and coping mechanisms.
- Qualifications: High school diploma, equivalent, or successful completion of Para Pro test required;
Associate's degree or higher preferred. Experience and/or education working with children with special needs preferred. Ability to work cooperatively with classroom teachers, school adjustment counselors, and administrators. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, flexibility, and a genuine desire to support students with unique needs. Track record of professionalism and effective collaboration in the workplace. - Status: 32.5 Hours Weekly
- Salary:
Commensurate with experience and qualifications, within the Gloucester Public Schools ESP salary schedule range of $29,355.00 - $38,268.00. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and retirement options. - Citizenship, residency or work visa required
