We are seeking dedicated, resilient, and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, behavioural challenges, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Gloucester.

As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, improve emotional regulation, and engage positively within the classroom environment. Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams, you will provide consistent support and encouragement to help pupils achieve both academically and personally.

• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours.
• Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation.
• Encourage student engagement, participation, and attendance.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support pupils with SEMH and SEN needs.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored support plans.
• Monitor and record student progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Are calm, patient, and resilient under pressure.
• Have experience working with young people, education, care, coaching, or support services (desirable but not essential).
• Can confidently manage challenging behaviour in a professional manner.
