Responsibilities- Collaborate with implant material processing groups and process demonstrations, processing wafers, measuring wafers, modelling and simulating processes, analyzing results, and documentation.
- Participate in development projects involving wafer processing, desired metrology and present updates in group meetings.
- Support process engineering through procurement, shipping samples, and tracking inventory functions.
- Start date:
Summer 2026 - Must be available to work 6‑9 months, onsite at our Gloucester, MA location.
- Preference for students who are currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields in Semiconductors.
- Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
- Hands‑on expertise on thin film materials characterizations techniques such as ellipsometry, electrical IV/CV measurements, FTIR, microscopy and mechanical properties testing.
- Familiarity with modeling methodologies such as FEM, Monte‑Carlo simulations, etc. in addition to knowledge of modeling automation techniques is a big plus.
- TCAD highly preferred.
$41 – $50 per hour
