Job SummaryThe Automation & Technology Solution Engineer will lead the design, integration, and deployment of advanced automation systems for Applied Materials’ centralized warehouse. This role ensures scalable, efficient, and cost‑effective solutions that align with the company’s long‑term growth strategy and operational excellence goals.
Key Responsibilities- Architect and implement automation solutions for warehouse operations.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with IT, logistics, manufacturing, and customer service teams.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed systems.
- Advance automation with Smart Vision and RFID‑based transactions.
- Establish quality metrics at automated audit stations.
- Train staff on new technologies and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Manage SAP and automation roadmaps, prioritizing high‑value programs.
- Lead medium to large‑scale projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budget.
- Ensure adherence to GIS project management, change control, and service standards.
- Manage AMR program to optimize material movement, routing, and logistics efficiency.
- Deep knowledge of automation technologies and SAP integration.
- Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices.
- Experience managing cross‑functional teams and complex technical projects.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with automation technologies, robotics, and control systems.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, processes, and optimization.
- Experience with relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, PLC programming).
- CAD, Smart Sheet, Tableau, Excel, Minitab/JMP, SAP, Creo, Visio, Flex Sim.
SIX SIGMA:
Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Identify operational and customer outcomes through automation strategy.
- Communicate complex concepts and negotiate across teams and stakeholders.
- Act as consultant and technical leader for internal and external partners.
- Support future growth by ensuring automation systems scale with volume and complexity.
- Reduce non‑value‑added activities through automation of repetitive tasks.
- Drive down operational costs by minimizing labor and error‑related costs.
4–7 years of experience.
EducationBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation, or related field.
Additional Information- Full‑time, regular travel: 10% of the time.
- Relocation eligible.
