William and Mary’s Batten School of Coastal & Marine Sciences and the Virginia Institute of Marine Science seek a Chief Engineer for the R/V Virginia. You will lead all shipboard engineering operations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while supporting other vessels in the VIMS fleet as needed.
The role reports to the Captain and requires extensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, and safe navigation support.
