On Call caregiver. HHA. North shore area

The on-call caregiver should be a seasoned, experienced caregiver for senior citizens. HHA or CNA certification is desired, but a strong work history with elderly clients would be seriously considered if applicant was non-certified.

The on-call caregiver has potential to make a significant amount of money. Full time work, overtime pay, and a flat rate on call payment could all be combined in one pay period to make for a large payout.

Referral bonus, sign on bonus, mileage pay, merit bonus, holiday pay and more are also available.

The main function of the on-call caregiver is to be available outside of regular business hours to the on-call supervisor in order to fill last-minute call-outs and urgent client needs. To assist clients in their own homes with activities of daily living, boost their spirits, and significantly improve their quality of life by delivering quality and safe home health care services.

• Agree to be on-call during specific hours and days.
• Will be paid a stipend for being on-call in addition to an hourly wage for any hours worked with clients.
• Will return all phone calls within 15 minutes during the on-call period.
• May receive calls at any time within the on-call shift and may need to leave for a client within 30 minutes of a call.
• Will accept all assignments given during the on-call period regardless of location.
• Forfeits on-call stipend if refuses to comply with any of the above responsibilities.
• Provides necessary information on health status and experience.
• Reviews client care plans before providing care.
• Has reliable transportation to see any clients needing service during the on-call period.
• Communicates with the agency about problems and concerns.
• Completes required documentation accurately and timely.
• Respects and maintains client confidentiality at all times.
• Reports concerns of client abuse or neglect.
• Refrains from discussing personal problems or opinions with client or client representatives.
• Maintain access to an email account for updates, schedule changes, and company news.
• Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training procedures.
• Maintain a clean, insured vehicle that has had manufacturer’s recommended scheduled services.
• Perform all tasks as noted in HHA, CNA or PCA job description.

• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencies.
