Business Analyst

Hybrid Remote | 3 days/week onsite in Gloucester, MA

We’re looking for a curious, collaborative, and data‑savvy Business Analyst with 3–5 years of experience. In this role, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, uncover what they really need, and turn those insights into practical solutions. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: 30-40hr W2

Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement

• Connect with stakeholders to understand their goals, challenges, and workflows
• Lead conversations, workshops, and interviews to gather clear requirements
• Turn insights into user stories, process maps, and documentation that teams can easily act on
• Build strong relationships and act as the go‑to communicator between business and tech teams

Data Analysis & SQL

• Write SQL queries to pull, analyze, and validate data
• Use data to tell compelling stories, support decisions, and uncover opportunities
• Troubleshoot data issues and ensure accuracy across reports and systems

Project Support

• Help organize project timelines, progress updates, and deliverables
• Assist with change management — think training, documentation, and communication
• Ensure solutions meet stakeholder expectations and are delivered with quality

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong SQL skills (writing queries, validating data, analyzing datasets)
• Strong communicator who can translate complex details into simple explanations
• Experience working with both technical and non‑technical teams
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) is a plus
• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Visio, Power BI, or similar platforms

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
