Intermediate Materials Buyer

Gloucester, MA (Onsite)

12-Month Contract-to-Hire | $30.00 – $37.00/hr + Full Benefits

• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers
• Manage non‑strategic vendors and ensure cost‑effective procurement
• Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, and drive supplier selection
• Expedite orders and ensure timely delivery of materials
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
• Resolve material, receiving, and accounting discrepancies
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and purchasing records
• Continuously improve processes and supplier performance

• 3–5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
• Experience negotiating with vendors and managing supplier relationships
  
  Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
• Solid understanding of inventory, logistics, and procurement strategies

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
• Experience in manufacturing or similar industry
• Proficiency with SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement systems
• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Competitive pay: $30–$37 per hour
