- Specialize in planning activities involving production control, inventory control, process control, shop floor control or Material Resources Planning (MRP) integrity.
- Maintain Oracle work order release schedule to provide material on‑time to manufacturing and engineering.
- Reschedule and complete no‑charge, all discrete jobs as required.
- Increase component availability at release time by performing pre‑shortage analysis and work order variance analysis.
- Review MRP execution, ensure accuracy of information, reconcile supply and demand, validate master scheduling and/or PDS requirements.
- Ensure proper disposition of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and prepare status reports of ECOs and ECRs in process.
- Participate in floor audits with Finance and resolve WIP issues; attend production meetings and provide status on material shortage commit dates.
- Adjust “make” level lead times to reflect reality on the manufacturing floor.
- Work with engineers to manage materials for special engineering projects and with work centers on shop floor control activities.
- Analyze usage data and stock levels to order parts to satisfy service levels and maintain inventory per plan.
- Resolve material variances and communicate difficult problems to management; assist in setting up new inventory systems or modifying existing ones.
- Participate in identifying root cause and corrective action from PCI reporting and metrics; drive cycle counting.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, work in tight spaces, bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, and lift.
- Ability to distinguish between colors and work in potentially noisy environments.
- Use of hand and power tools; may require working in a clean room with appropriate personal protective equipment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
- Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities.
- Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members.
- Solves problems in straightforward situations using technical experience and judgment.
- Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies.
