Adecco Staffing is assisting a local company in Gloucester, and we are seeking Manufacturing Technicians!
Hours: All Shifts
Pay: $25+/hour depending on experience and interview
Job DutiesThe Assembler (Manufacturing Technician) applies advanced technical skills to wire, assemble, test, and refurbish moderately complex equipment, subassemblies, and components. The role involves electro‑mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, and fluid flow systems, requiring precision workmanship, adherence to engineering specifications, and strict compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble, wire, test, disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble moderately complex equipment and subassemblies.
- Perform work involving electrical interconnects, mechanical systems, pneumatic assemblies, fluid flow, and vacuum technologies.
- Independently create setup configurations, perform alignments and adjustments, and maintain specified tolerances per work instructions.
- Construct assemblies following work orders, engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, production sheets, sketches, and written or verbal instructions.
- Perform functional and visual inspections to verify proper assembly and operation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and surrounding areas.
- Properly handle tools, equipment, materials, and inventory to prevent damage, loss, or injury.
- Detail finished assemblies (e.g., remove fingerprints, debris, or contaminants).
- Properly package completed products to prevent damage during transportation or storage.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Complete required training to support job responsibilities or business needs.
- Stand for extended periods of time and frequently walk throughout the work area.
- Work in tight or confined spaces.
- Bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, climb stairs and ladders.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment.
- Distinguish between colors (for wiring and component identification).
- Work in environments with moderate to high noise levels.
- Experience in electro mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, or fluid based assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances.
- Knowledge of safe tool usage and manufacturing safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
$25.00 to $31.00 per hour
