ELECTRO MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER OR Manufacturing Technician – Gloucester, MA
Schedule:
First Shift (Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM). Second Shift (Monday – Thursday, 3:45 PM – 2:15 AM, 10% differential). Third Shift (Monday – Thursday, 7:30 PM – 6:00 AM, 13% differential). Fourth Shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM, 11% differential).
Pay Rate: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience. Rate excludes shift differentials.
Role involves building, troubleshooting, and working with cutting edge technology in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Ideal for technicians who thrive in electro-mechanical environments and seek long-term career growth in a high-tech manufacturing setting.
What You’ll Be Doing- Build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum assemblies and subassemblies.
- Work from work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and verbal or written instructions.
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair; identify and correct errors.
- Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies.
- Enter production data, labor details, and work progress into computer systems.
- Receive and audit parts to ensure build readiness; inspect components for defects.
- Troubleshoot issues and contribute to process improvements.
- Document completed work clearly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and safe work environment; follow all safety, security, and operational procedures.
- Attend required safety and health training; properly use PPE, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Proactively report hazards, incidents, or injuries.
- Position may involve working in a cleanroom environment with PPE such as coveralls, hoods, booties, gloves, safety glasses, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
- Standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs or ladders, and working in tight spaces for extended periods.
- Lifting and handling components and tools; operating hand and power tools.
- Work in environments with moderate to high noise levels; driving or operating heavy machinery including forklifts.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and schematics.
- Hands-on skills with electro-mechanical assemblies and tools.
- Comfort working in structured, process-driven environments.
- Interest in or experience within semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing (highly valued).
