The Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization serving the Greater Cape Ann region, including Gloucester, Rockport, Ipswich, Essex, and Manchester-by-the-Sea. The Chamber supports local businesses through advocacy, promotion, connection, and community engagement.

Who We Are Looking ForWe are seeking an innovative, collaborative, self-directed, and organized individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, managing details, and contributing to a community-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a primary point of contact for member inquiries and help ensure a positive member experience
- Provide outreach, communication, and support to prospective and current members
- Coordinate onboarding for all new Chamber members
- Manage the Chamber’s member database and accounts, ensuring accuracy of records, billing status, and engagement tracking
- Lead and support the Ambassador Committee
- Schedule and lead monthly networking events
- Coordinate ribbon-cutting ceremonies for businesses
- Support member recruitment and retention efforts
- Assist with member communications, including emails, announcements, and event promotions
- Support Chamber events and initiatives, including occasional events outside normal business hours
- Support volunteer committees as needed, including meeting coordination and follow-up
- Collaborate with the Chamber team on daily operations and special projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build positive relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable learning and working with new technology platforms and systems
- Knowledge of local businesses and the Greater Cape Ann community is preferred
- Experience in member services, customer service, or nonprofit organizations is a plus
