Position: Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Gloucester, MA. 8 weeks starting 07/27/2026. Weekly pay range: $2,345–$2,520 per week. Contract includes 72 hours guaranteed biweekly. Shift is 12‑hour days (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) with every‑other weekend; 3–4 weekends per month. Work setting: hospital‑based ER with telemetry duties; travel assignment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care to ER patients, including rapid assessment, triage, monitoring, and intervention
  • Manage telemetry monitoring, interpret vital signs, and respond to abnormal findings
  • Administer medications and IV therapies, start and manage IV lines, and document all care in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient flow and care plans
  • Implement patient safety protocols, provide patient and family education, and contribute to discharge planning
Requirements
  • Current Massachusetts RN license
  • 2+ years of telemetry nursing experience
  • 1 year of previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Certifications:

    BLS, ACLS, TNCC; PALS or ENPC (equivalency) required
  • Telemetry test administered on first day with pass/fail outcome (study materials provided)
  • Flu vaccine required during onboarding
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced ER environment and meet shift requirements
  • Willingness to adhere to the assigned travel schedule, including weekends
