Experienced Social Worker| Children & Families Team| Gloucestershire

Overview

Experienced Social Worker needed for Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, Children & Families Team. Locum / Temporary role with a full-time pattern (37 hours per week). Pay rate: £42 per hour.

• Hold a manageable caseload of around 18 children, with a mix of Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC) cases.
• Undertake court work where required, ensuring high-quality assessments, reports, and interventions.
• Deliver timely, impactful, and child-centred practice, with a strong focus on outcomes.
• Ensure all children are seen face to face, in line with statutory requirements and best practice.

• Qualified and experienced Children’s Social Worker. Strong experience across CIN, CP, and CIC work. Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of practice. Commitment to collaborative working and positive outcomes for children and families.
