Start a new career at Five Rivers Child Care.We are looking for a Fostering Support Worker to join our team in Gloucester
, part of the Southwest Service. You will be working with an experienced team and in a culture where children are valued, respected, and listened to and involved in as many decisions as possible.
A Fostering Support Worker is an exciting and important role involving a range of tasks working directly with children and young people, Foster Carers, and other professionals to ensure quality outcomes for children and young people.
You will be involved in participation events with our children and young people, where you will be coordinating group work and activities in a skilled focused way as part of our agreed programme. Additionally, with guidance and support from our social work and clinical team, you will be providing 1-1 sessions to children and young people in their foster care placements, promoting the health and wellbeing of the children and young people.
You will support our families throughout the South West region (Bristol / North Somerset / Gloucester / Forest of Dean / Swindon / Oxford)
We are looking for someone who is child focussed, ensuring children and young people are at the forefront of all decisions. Someone who can work as part of a team and have excellent communication with children and adults. Additionally, experience of working in the fostering sector and/or with children/young people would be an advantage but not essential. No formal social work qualifications are necessary, but an understanding of and empathy for the work required is necessary.
You will need to be able to drive for this role and have access to a car. Flexibility is essential in this role, you will regularly be required to work outside of 9-5 hours.

HoursThis is a Full Time Role of 37 hours per week.
