Gloucester City Homes (GCH) is looking for a Property Maintenance Operative Apprentice to join our Property Care team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced tradespeople, gain practical experience across multiple trades, and complete a Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship .

Whether you've already spent time using tools at school, college or at home, or you're simply looking for a career where you can learn practical skills and see the results of your work every day, we'd love to hear from you. You'll help maintain and improve customers' homes, learning skills in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, decorating and general property maintenance.

Working in both occupied and empty properties, you'll develop the knowledge, confidence and experience needed to build a successful career in the industry. What you'll gain A recognised Level 2 apprenticeship qualification Hands-on experience across a range of trades Support and mentoring from experienced colleagues Day-release study at Gloucestershire College from September 2026 The opportunity to develop into a skilled Multi-Trade Operative What we're looking for We're not expecting you to be an expert already.

We're looking for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn. You'll be:
Interested in a career in property maintenance or the trades Reliable, hardworking and keen to develop new skills Comfortable working as part of a team Committed to health and safety Able to communicate well with customers and colleagues Confident using basic IT, tablets or mobile devices Essential qualifications GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 9-3 or AD Why join GCH?
