We are hiring a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our growing team in Gloucester. As a leading independent specialist

- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year basic (Positioned within our standard bracket, plus strong OTE of £40,000+ with premium overtime rates).

Our busy workshop handles full vehicle maintenance, complex electrical fault resolution, and MOT preparation. We pride ourselves on being a technician-first business, focusing heavily on your long-term technical development and providing the latest multi-brand software needed for precision workmanship.
Your RoleAs a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Gloucester workshop, you will:
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing
, braking systems, steering, suspension, and transmission repairs. - Use up-to-date diagnostic tools to efficiently troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical faults as a Diagnostic Specialist.
- Work alongside Senior Technicians to tackle high-level fault-finding, deep engine work, and safety inspections.
- Deliver high-quality "first-time fix" results across a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent) preferred. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
- Experience: Minimum of 18 months hands‑on workshop experience as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Service Specialist.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not essential. - Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools to manage daily repair and diagnostic tasks effectively.
- Key Strengths: A reliable work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a genuine desire to progress your technical skills.
