. The position is term-limited and renewable annually based on performance and funding. Summer teaching, professional engagement, or other compensated activities may be available depending on departmental needs and university policies.

This position teaches in-person undergraduate courses each semester (fall and spring). Courses emphasize experiential learning and hands-on projects, and courses may include industry partners.

The role contributes primarily to the Graphic Communications curriculum and supports applied interdisciplinary instruction, including courses or modules that connect brand strategy to the production and implementation of visual communication across print, packaging, and digital media. Candidates with experience applying computing, data, or intelligent systems to real-world production or packaging environments are encouraged to apply. So are candidates who can bridge creative intent with executable output, translating design concepts into deployable assets for print, packaging, retail, and cross-media applications.

Candidates from graphic design or communication backgrounds are welcome, provided they have relevant experience in production workflows, brand implementation, commercial production environments, or agency-based deployment of visual communication.
