Overnight Center Store Clerk - Godfrey

Job Description:

This is not an official job description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform. The position of center store clerk includes the following duties:

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
• Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non‑Foods, and Grocery Departments
• Process incoming product from the warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Sort damaged product for credit
• Operate a hand jack, power lift, and cardboard baler
• Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
• Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
• Maintain company productivity standards
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management

Training will be provided at store level.

• Bending and stooping
• Able to stock 50 cases per hour
• Able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees)
• Able to push a loaded two‑wheel truck (average 100‑120 pounds)
• Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds)
• Able to pull a loaded stock truck
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet entire shift (4–8 hours)

• Internal Candidates:
  Store/Facility teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store Support Center teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Pay Range: $15.10 – $16.50.
