Position: Full-Time Welcome Center Associate

The Granite YMCA is seeking a friendly and service-oriented Welcome Center Associate to create a positive first impression and meaningful connections with our members and guests. This full-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about building community.

As a Welcome Center Associate, you will be the first point of contact for members and visitors, delivering exceptional service while promoting YMCA programs, values, and mission. You’ll help ensure a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone feels they belong.

In this role, you will:

  • Greet members and guests warmly, build relationships, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Act as a positive ambassador for the Granite YMCA and connect members with programs and services
  • Serve as the first point of contact for member concerns and problem‑solving
  • Process memberships, program registrations, and financial transactions
  • Sell memberships and programs and provide cause‑driven facility tours
  • Communicate facility usage, programs, and events accurately
Qualifications
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience handling financial transactions preferred
  • Proficiency with computers and basic software (Word, Excel, Outlook or similar)
  • Experience with SGA or similar membership software preferred
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Hourly full‑time position
  • Schedule varies based on operational needs; evenings and weekends may be required
