The State of New Hampshire, Department of Education, Division of Learner Support & Bureau of Instructional Support has a full-time vacancy for a Federal Education Grant Program Specialist.

Plan, develop, coordinate, and monitor the requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) programs, by providing training and technical assistance to local school districts.

Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Education/

Experience:

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 9 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in education, educational administration, professional development, or related field, and include at least 5 years of experience planning, initiating, or providing teacher training activities.

DETAILED TASKS (STANDARD):
None

Develop and implement processes for school districts to submit their grant application for ESEA funds and determine if the applications are eligible for funding and meet appropriate State and Federal requirements.

Evaluate the implementation of ESEA programs within the State and prepare annual performance and data reports documenting the use of the Federal funds.

Analyze data to determine necessary improvements in State guidance and other resources for school districts and policymakers and interpret State and Federal laws and regulations to recommend agency policy and rules related to professional learning, student outcomes and educator effectiveness.

Monitor and assist school districts with completing a comprehensive needs assessment for professional learning and student outcomes based on an examination of student performance data. This needs assessment will inform the school and district goals and use of program funds.

Supervise and direct the research and analysis of information used in planning, implementing and evaluating educator effectiveness, student outcomes, and professional learning programs in New Hampshire.

Oversee and manage the ESEA State Level requests for proposals and contracts to provide professional development services.

Explain current or long-range professional learning policies, including testifying on legislative bills or representing the agency in an official capacity on professional organizations.
