Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturer ofpaper and packaging solutions, is seeking an Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant,you will be part of the Finance Department supporting Accounting and Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communicationabilitieswhich will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Golden Valley, MN.

Pay Range:$70k - $95k

What’s the Job?

• Maintain the general ledger and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, variance reports, and other management reporting to support business decisions.
• Perform inventory accounting activities, including inventory valuation, reconciliations, yield reporting, and analysis of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Monitor capital expenditures, customer and vendor rebate programs, payroll processing, and customer account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Support audits, maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational performance.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and GAAP principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast pace environment.
