Job Description
The General Ledger / Staff Accountant will play a key role within a collaborative Accounting & Finance team, supporting multiple corporate functions through financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and process improvement. This position is responsible for traditional general ledger accounting while also partnering with Human Resources, Information Technology, and Marketing to improve financial processes, maintain strong internal controls, and provide analysis that supports business decision-making.
The ideal candidate is analytical, naturally curious, collaborative, and enjoys taking ownership in a dynamic environment.
This hybrid position is located in Golden Valley, MN
. Candidates must be local to the Twin Cities metro area, as remote candidates will not be considered.
$83,500 - $105,000/year base salary.

Roles & Responsibilities- Lead month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and financial analyses.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and year-end financial processes.
- Partner with HR, Information Technology, and Marketing teams to develop, document, and improve financial workflows and internal controls.
- Analyze payroll, banking, and Central business function activities while providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Perform cost analysis and deliver meaningful insights that support business decisions.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls related to cash management, banking, payroll, and employee benefits.
- Communicate financial findings and recommendations through clear written and verbal presentations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Participate in special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with a large ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset and a desire to contribute beyond traditional accounting responsibilities.
