Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Immersion Elementary Teacher Long-term Substitute to join our vibrant educational community, starting August 19th through to December 18th, 2026. In this role, you will deliver engaging, immersive instruction in French to elementary students, fostering a love for language and learning. You will play a vital part in maintaining a dynamic classroom environment that promotes curiosity, growth, and academic excellence.

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, emphasizing French language acquisition and early childhood education principles.
• Create an engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation, curiosity, and respect among students.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
• Deliver instruction across core subjects such as literacy education, math, and social studies in French, ensuring differentiated learning to meet diverse student needs.
• Utilize various teaching methods including Montessori and other child-centered approaches to foster independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments; provide feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists (including those experienced in working with children with autism or special education needs), and parents to support student success.
