JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of ERP & Business Automation will lead the implementation, support and optimization of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and associated Microsoft ecosystem components. This role ensures that these systems align with business objectives, streamline operations, and enhance productivity through integrated Microsoft 365 technologies, including Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, strong leadership skills, and a passion for leveraging modern cloud-based tools to streamline processes and empower data-driven decision-making. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and adoption of ERP and digital solutions.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals.
  • Design policies and procedures to analyze ERP system performance, ensure operational effectiveness, and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Assist with strategic planning and road mapping of ERP related projects and updates.
  • Drive innovation and automation, in partnership with stakeholders using Microsoft Power Platform to extend ERP functionality and improve user experience and productivity.
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across ERP and ISV environments.
  • Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and service-level agreements related to Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of ERP and digital platform professionals using a Center of Excellence model enabling governance and standards while empowering departmental teams to develop specific solutions.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align ERP capabilities (e.g., inventory, production planning, financials) to standardize operational workflows.
  • Support Technology leadership in the development of a multi-year ERP roadmap that supports business growth, sustainability, and digital maturity.
  • Maintain ERP documentation including system maps, data flows, and integration patterns.
  • Promote standardization of business processes and configurations across sites and business units.
  • Manage staff planning and resource allocation. Includes assisting with long term staffing decisions, and forecasting how resources may be assigned to serve on future projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in ERP leadership roles, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Proven track record of successful ERP implementations and integrations with Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Expertise in business process design across finance, supply chain, HR, and operations.
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform capabilities and experience delivering automation and analytics solutions.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrated domain expertise in Finance, Supply Chain, and Logistics with the ability to lead cross-functional design ownership, define KPIs, and drive training and change management initiatives.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in all phases of the project life cycle with a history of executing effective project management and delivering results.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with vendors, consultants, IT teams, and internal stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess current‑state architectures, identify gaps, and propose scalable solutions.
  • Comfort making decisions in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments.
  • Ability to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies in a pragmatic, business focused manner.
  • Experience driving innovation in legacy heavy environments with a focus on modernization, security, and resilience.
