Job Description

Part of a nation wide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities:
Colonial Acres at Covenant Village of Golden Valley is seeking a part time Licensed Practical Nurse.

The position was open for evenings; part-time and overnights; part-time.

Responsibilities
  • We need a person with devotion to nursing standards and principles.
  • Assess problems, plan and evaluate solutions for routine nursing care and resident needs.
  • Provide patient care with understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with people.
  • Organized, work under routine supervision, take initiative, plan and carry out responsibilities.
  • Maintain attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Use good judgment in determining resident care needs and delivering care per recognized standards.
  • Follow all regulatory and corporate policies about resident confidentiality.
  • Be dependable, possess excellent interpersonal relationship skills and flexibility.
  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with administration, staff, residents.
  • Show courtesy, compassion, friendly character and team‑building.
  • Monitor and direct activities of others, enlist cooperation of unit personnel and other departments.
  • Maintain professional relationships with physicians; relate well to residents and families.
  • Technology literacy and ability to learn new systems such as Vision, Care Watch, Risk Watch, Life Connect, Omniview, Cov Buy, Accu Nurse, timekeeping, and Management reports.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
  • Currently licensed as an LPN in Minnesota.
  • Ability to work within standard policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Availability to work beyond normal working hours, weekends, holidays, or on days and shifts other than those for which hired.
