About the Role

We are looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) to work in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care at Covenant Living, the nation’s sixth‑largest nonprofit senior living provider. The RN will provide routine daily direction and monitor the work of LPNs and nursing assistants on the unit, ensuring high quality nursing care and satisfactory completion of tasks. This role also provides direct care to residents, in accordance with nursing standards and regulations, and involves assessment and monitoring of staff performance, physician contact, care planning, and daily resident assessment.

• Provide routine daily direction and monitor the work of LPNs and nursing assistants on the unit.
• Ensure a high standard of nursing care and satisfactory completion of tasks.
• Assist in the orientation of new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards to maintain quality care.
• Motivate LPNs and CNAs, provide explanation of nursing procedures and assist staff as needed.
• Communicate regularly with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments, observations, problem areas, and resident/employee needs.
• Observe and evaluate residents’ health, mental, and emotional conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff.
• Notify the physician and family members of significant changes according to prescribed procedures when indicated.
• Participate in assessments, care planning, and daily resident assessment.
• Maintain readiness to work beyond normal hours, including weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed.

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience.
• Devotion to nursing standards and principles of professional nursing.
• Skill in assessing problems, planning and evaluating solutions in relation to supervising LPNs and nursing assistants and resident needs.
• Patience, tact, and strong communication skills (written and verbal, English).
• Genuine compassion for senior adults and the disabled.
• Good people‑relation skills and ability to monitor and direct activities of others.

Pay range: $36.90 – $51.94 per hour.
