Firmware Engineer II - AIR

Job Description

As a Firmware Engineer II, you will develop firmware for a variety of embedded products, create technical reports, help define product architecture, participate in schematic/layout review, test prototypes from initial sample to mass production, maintain firmware servers, develop internal tools, aid in equipment design, and redesign existing systems to meet Resideo’s customer needs.

• Design, develop, review, and test embedded software projects using C/C++.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (systems, hardware, test, quality) to produce architecturally sound designs and coordinate delivery of software modules and documentation.
• Research technical problems, implement appropriate algorithm solutions, and contribute to firmware design, development, testing, and management efforts.

• 2+ years of embedded firmware development using C and/or C++.
• Experience writing firmware for embedded devices and using development environments such as Visual Studio and IAR Embedded Workbench.

• Knowledge of RTOS (FreeRTOS, Linux, etc.) and multithreaded programming.
• Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and Zig Bee.
• Experience with embedded Linux (e.g., Raspberry Pi) and ARM Cortex‑A/M processors.
