As a Software Engineer / Front End Web Developer at Room & Board, you’ll work with a modern technology stack—including React, Next.js, and Type Script—while contributing to a robust e‑commerce platform and in‑store digital experiences. • Design, build, and maintain responsive web applications using React and Next.js.
• Translate UX/UI designs into functional, accessible front‑end code.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, SEO, and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with technical product owners, designers, and back‑end developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Integrate front‑end components with APIs and back‑end services.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards (WCAG).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional front‑end web application design and development.
• Hands‑on experience with React, Next.js, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS modules (CSS3).
• Familiarity with state management libraries (MobX, Redux, Context API, etc.).
• Experience with RESTful APIs or Graph

• Knowledge of responsive design and mobile‑first development.
• Testing experience with Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self‑motivated with a continuous learning mindset.
• Passionate about creating great user experiences and UI performance.
• Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire.
